Cozy lodge feel. Fireplace in lobby and two fire pits on the property, very nice touch! Dog friendly with a wing for dog owners only. Welcome toy and treat for dogs as well as a bed, towels and blanket just for them. Even has a dog wash!

Super clean hotel, and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast had a great variety of options, and everything was well maintained. The outdoor fireplace was an especially nice touch and a great place to relax. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

This is a great stay for vacation. It's conveniently located, clean, with all facilities including swimming pool, sauna and free WIFI. It also provides free breakfast. The only thing I would recommend for breakfast is to provides some salty food options like bacon, scrambled eggs, fries etc

Open Hearth Lodge is a smaller charming hotel, outside the hustle and bustle of Sister Bay. We immediately noticed the firepit area, already active, and was informed there was also pit in the back of the Lodge. The gentleman who checked us in was friendly and informative. He explained all the amenities and the continental breakfast available. Dovetail Bar & Grill was literally minutes away. Our 2-queen bedroom had rustic decor, including a wall mount electric fireplace. It was roomy, comfortable and clean. We couldn't have asked for more. When we travel back, we will not hesitate to stay here again.

Highly recommended as a place to stay when visiting Door County! Set off the road- the grounds are well maintained with outdoor seating and fire pits! Inside is cozy, rooms very clean, beds comfy, microwave, frig, coffee maker- everything you need! The owners are super nice and helpful with any questions about the area! Have stayed several times and will definitely stay here again!

The staff are very accommodating and professional. The atmosphere was amazing with two fire pits outside and an electric fireplace in each room. Centrally located in Sister Bay with a 20 minute drive to any other locations. Definitely will be back next year. Lodge is quite even with families having the option of bringing their dog with. I didn’t hear any dogs barking the entire time we were at the lodge.

We had an awesome experience at this Lodge. Carl at the Front Desk was professional, efficient, and courteous. All our interactions with Carl were very pleasant and very enjoyable. The Owner is an awesome guy . . equally pleasant and very friendly. I saw him inside and outside the Lodge daily making his rounds and keeping everything tip top. He takes superb care of his Lodge and it definitely showed. The Lodge is located on a major roadway for ease of access, with plenty of Free Parking. It is set back off the road creating a quiet, peaceful, secluded atmosphere. Our Room was clean, quiet, smelled nice and had all the necessities that we needed. We highly recommend the Lodge and will return again in September 2027 for yet another great experience!

This was our first stay in DC and it was so nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The Fire pits outside were so relaxing to sit by at the end of the day. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to any need we might have. Would definitely stay here again. The Lodge is centrally located so made it easy to get around Door County quickly.

John was amazing from the first moment we met. He welcomed me, explained the lay of the land and had a room key in my hand in minutes. The room was clean, spacious and generally well maintained for a hard freeze/thaw location. The property was easy to find and was very well marked. Breakfast was excellent and the on site amenities were amazing. Parking was the only minor issue. I got back to the property at about 10:30pm one night and had to create a parking spot on some hashmarks. They've done a great job maximizing the spots for the size of their lot, it's just a small lot. Absolutely would stay again.
