「Beautiful hotel in rural setting. Owner Miguel reserved our Acoura 516 bridge tickets as our international charge card was not accepted. The continental buffet breakfast was delicious and freshly served. We enjoyed the fireplace in the evening which Miguel started each evening. If we return to the area to hike we will definitely stay here again. It was impressively clean and staff (his family :) friendly. 」

Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site.」

「We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. 「Godim鉄道駅に近いが、運行本数が少ないため、Regua駅で乗降車した。同駅からはドウロ河沿いに歩いて少なくとも30分はかかった。辺りは住宅街で、近くに大型スーパーが2軒も存在するため、買い物には便利。ホテルから北に20分程登ったところにブドウ畑が広がっている。部屋は清潔。私の部屋からドウロ河の眺めが良かった。窓には防音対策がなされている。ただ部屋の壁は十分に厚いとは言えない。隣の部屋から話し声が聞こえて来た。とは言え、コストパフォーマンスは非常に良い。」

「下の街からもかなり離れ、車がないとどこへも行けないし、まわりには何もない。静かな時間を過ごすだけの目的だけなら良いと思うのだが、他になにもできない。一度　チェックインしてしまうと、近隣にも出ずらいし、街への買い物やワイナリー巡りや船遊びや遺跡めぐりの観光にもかなり距離がある。」
