"An exceptional stay from beginning to end. Our hosts, Gus and Gert, were incredibly warm and inviting, and attentive to our needs. The property is fabulous with views from all angles. And it’s clear that it was built with love and pride. The thoughtfulness in the accommodations was what we were most impressed with. Thank you for making our stay feel likehome. We can’t wait to return!"
"Despite having seven very large bedrooms, the house still had a large open common area which lead to many enjoyable meals without being crowded at all. We were a group of 12 so no small feat! The grounds were also amazing and had complete privacy. The property included an excellent BBQ which was put to good use. The house also had Bell Fibe, so very fast WIFI! The only minor comment is that the kitchen faucet seems to have a issue with the aerator causing low water flow unless you select the spray which did have decent water flow. So overall this excellent place for a large group and well worth the price in our opinion."
Beautiful Log Cabin close to beaches/Golf & Cabot Trail
10/10 Excellent
"What a great spot for a family vacation! Four families consisting of 8 adults and 4 kids (3 teenagers and one 3.5 year old) stayed for 3 nights and we had more space than we knew what to do with. We were able to spread out and be comfortable for our entire stay. Inside, there was plenty to do- although we would have liked more to do outside for the kids (play structure, swing set etc). We visited Inverness Beach, Margaree Fish Hatchery, Margaree Harbour Beach and had a day trip to Cheticamp/ part of the National Park and nothing seemed far away. The Dancing Goat is a great coffee spot to check out, too! This lodge had everything you would ever need to feel comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked (right down to the measuring cups), the rooms are cozy with lots of extra pillows/ blankets etc available, if needed. The fireplace is beautiful, although we didn’t light it in July when we visited :). The pool table was a hit!Our host was great to get back promptly with the few questions we did have, but overall the process of getting in and settling in was very easy. We hope to get back in the future!"
"Our Family stayed in this rental for a week. It is on the same road as the town school so we were able to walk to the playground. We were also able to walk to shops and eateries. My husband walked his clubs to the golf course for an early tee time.It was clean and well supplied with linens, and kitchen necessities. The only thing to note is that the bathroom is on the first floor and the bedrooms are all on the second with steep narrow stairs, making night time bathroom trips for younger kids a concern."
"We were first to stay at this property for the season, there were a few kinks but Bill was responsive and fair. Here is what is important. The queen bed and bunk room matresses are really comfortable. Adequate towels and sheets etc. The house was clean.Bring your own stuff, milk, sugar, coffee, salt and pepper. Its bare bones, but the price is good. If you want 5 star go to Cabot. The view and location are amazing. Its an old duplex and you share the patio, but that's OK. Everyone should be friendly, its Cape Breton and the golf is amazing!!"
