「Islington is not the most impressively clean city I've been in, but it was certainly convenient to West Stow Iron Age Village and Sutton Hoo (and no doubt many other spots in the area). The biggest problem was checking in. Although the proprietor was eventually able to contact me through WhatsApp (which I only coincidentally had installed on a phone) I was afraid that we wouldn't be able to check in when my repeated attempts (including International Long Distance telephone call) to contact them...

「Looking forward to a nice break at a lovely location, the staff were fantastic and friendly, food was great. The drink prices were too high. The room was a let down, it was damp on entering, plenty of dust eveywhere, the noise and vibration from the road quite bad and noise from room floor above.」

「Lovely room, modern, clean and comfortable bed with excellent shower. Not too much clothes hanging / storage area but no problem for a short stay.」

「Stayed here for a family event with my extended family. The room was spotless if a little dated. The bathroom was also exceptionally clean and the shower worked well. It does need a little investment, the furniture and furnishings are tired. Breakfast was good if limited in choice. All the team were pleasant. If you're looking for a comfortable, unflashy stay this hotel perfect.」

「Super convenient with self check in which is great when arriving late. Radiator was on full so room was super hot but it cooled quickly with the window open and radiator off. Unfortunately this let a lot of marijuana smoke into the room from somewhere. Shower was surprisingly good Reasonably convenient for the train station. 」

「Autumn House is the best Guest house in Cambridge. Al is an amazing host, the property is spotless, and the rooms are big and comfortable. I've been coming back a few times a month for 2 years, and it has always been amazing.」

「Very well laid out, clean and tidy, rooms had everything you need. Able to cook your own food, lovely kitchen very quiet at night, Martin was friendly and helpful.」

「We were travelling as a group of 5 and each had our own bedroom which was great.」

「Amazing what you can fit into a small space! Microwave and toaster are good for basic self catering, though we were glad that we had brought containers to cook in and our normal camping plates and cutlery. Location is very good, quiet and private, but with plenty to explore in the nearby area.」

「This is a magical place. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well-equipped and the homemade brownies were very welcome. The orchard setting is a beautifully secluded retreat from city life and we would happily come back here again (for a third visit!)」
