"The receptionist was lovely, polite. We checked in ok. The room numbering had us confused. Our party had 2 rooms, both very spacious, but both very cold. The towel rail in one room didn't work. The central heating radiator in both bedrooms didn't work but there was an electric heating panel that eventually warmed up the large bedroom. The hotel generally appears dated. Dirty stains around the door handles and door plates. The dining room on the Sunday night was cold, but much warmer at breakfast on Monday morning. The bar area and adjoining lounge were cold and poorly "

"Hotel was good , breakfast really tasty staff were amazing . Bar staff were also amazing shout out to Henry who made my wifes espresso martinis thank you sir. Reception staff so friendly and helpful Now my only moan is the room , it was very clean but i could hear ever footstep from the room above Tv in another room . Overall it was really nice hotel and i would stay again but i would probably upgrade room "

"Room nice and clean but noise from the fan was irritating as you cannot switch it off - also last time we stayed we ordered the meal deal of evening meal and breakfast but deal not available this time and no cooked breakfast Mon - Thurs. So we ate elsewhere for breakfasts and our 2nd night evening meal"

"Half the breakfast menu costs extra, the porridge was like tepid mortar, the continental had sliced white and brown bread only, no bread buns, room 207 was baking hot with no way to cool it, the old leaded windows are characterful but completely warped and can't be closed, half the payment terminals didn't work, and the staff were friendly but inefficient."

"Parking was easy. Comfortable walk to hooton train station. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent especially Cajun wedges. Rooms are basic but ask the staff for fridge, hairdryer etc and they’ll provide. Place was quiet. They had a large function with over 100 people Saturday night and no impact to us. Beautiful gardens "

"Unfortunately no heating working in our room which spoilt our stay .Complained in the morning who said she would pass it onto the manager .Clearly there had been a problem with the boiler .Not good enough when outside temperature is 3 degrees ."

"Absolutely fantastic, the only downside was the lift wasn’t working on our side of the hotel, so it was a lot of stairs for my husband who finds stairs difficult. Xx"
