Brick Bay Wines & Sculpture Trail

Parkside was a pretty good accommodation because it is within walking distance of Auckland CBD, which we wanted to check out. The units were a good size to hold 3 of us and our luggage. The only thing missing was a central table with chairs. However, the dryer of the washer/dryer did not work well. Our clothes smelled musty even after drying them a second time. So I don't know if I would stay here again or recommend it. Also, even though we checked in after check-in time, one of our rooms was not ready. So we had to wait another 15-20 minutes for it.

Before you even arrive the staff are lovely and helpful. Check in was a breeze, greeted with a smile and an unexpected upgrade. Up to the 19th floor with magnificent views of the harbour. The room was spacious and welcoming. Usual minibar and coffee pods. WiFi worked fine and the TV had many stations to watch. There was a bath and separate rain/wall shower. The soap was Kiwi Seed and Lavender, and the body lotion was impeccable. The art work on the walls show cased real kiwi classics. The Bee Hive painting in the corridor was masterful, worth its own gallery showing. The hotel sits beside the SkyBus start point, 30 odd minutes and you're at the airport. Will we stay again? Yeah, next trip up for sure.
