"We absolutely loved Brownstone Lodge. Perfect location near Lough Carra in County Mayo. We were able to do some fishing when the weather allowed. The remoteness of the location was amazing, so quiet and so peaceful. And the lodge was well stocked, clean and spacious. We enjoyed the company of our caretakers and they made sure that we had everything that we needed. We had a lovely time and we cannot wait to come back!"

"This peaceful cottage is in a great location if you want to get away from it all. Finding it may have been easier if the instructions were in English rather than German. Easy access to Westport and Newport if you need to shop. The cottage itself was not the warmest place we have ever stayed and could do with a little tlc but generally comfortable . The inspiring views of Croagh Patrick were largely blocked by an overgrown hedge. However we enjoyed our stay very much."

"We had an amazing stay at Westport. The location of the property is extremely central. Easy to walk to various locations. The three bedroom were very spacious. Cleanliness was exceptional and the host was always available to answer any questions. I would highly recommend staying here."

"It is a really good house for a group of up to 10 people. It's three minutes from Westport by car and easily walkable too. The house overall was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The beds were really good quality and comfortable too. The only thing I would suggest is it would be great to have a few additional en suites but it worked well as it was for our group. We all agreed that we would happily rebook The Rocks were we to return to Westport again."

"Overall the property was generally clean and basic. Alot of cobwebs (inside & out) and flies (dead and alive). The stairs to 3 bedrooms upstairs was unsafe, too steep and carpet nails and rips were dangerous throughout the house. The central heating was only warm upstairs and bearly tepid downstairs. The ensuite shower down stairs was modern, but smells of blocked & dirty drain and also had very poor water pressure. Overall we would not recommend the accommodation due to safety of the stairs."

"We enjoyed a fantastic week at this wonderful property in a stunning location on Lough Mask. The facilities are excellent and Thomas (the host) was brilliant - so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. "Everything about the apartment was as good as we had hoped. We were very comfortable for our week of residence. After a friendly welcome on arrival, we did not see or hear another human at the property for the whole week. The location, with the beautiful mountain at the front (when not too cloudy) and a five minute walk to the beach from the door, cannot be beaten. Best of all was the sound of silence (punctuated only by the occasional sheep)."

"Our family of 4 spent 6 nights at this lovely place and had a great time. Good location - we were able to explore the area (Balleek Forest, Westport, WAW coast) but you would need a car. The house way wonderful - lots of space and super comfy beds. My kids didn’t want to leave - swing sets, hot tub, beach, and donkeys - what more could they ask for."
