We arrived early and were kindly given our room ahead of time, which we appreciated. The room was generally clean, although there were around 5–10 fruit flies inside.
The air conditioning worked well for both heating and cooling, and the sound insulation was good. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were disappointing, but the fresh fruit was excellent.

Just the best. Fabulous grounds and breakfast. Mildew smell in room was a bit off putting and the heater did not work but we loved the grounds and garden.

Fantastic welcome and advise throughout the short stay, some great typical Portuguese restaurants in the town. The hotel is old but very clean and rooms are spacious. The lady owner could not be of more help
