Welcome to the lower level of this cozy log cabin nestled in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area! While the cabin itself is not directly on the river, it offers the best of both worlds: peaceful forest surroundings and quick access to the Toccoa River. A short, scenic 3-minute walk down the stairs, through the woods and across Aska Road brings you to a riverside deck where you can relax, fish, or simply enjoy the view.

Hot Tub Bliss: After a day of hiking, fishing, or exploring, unwind in your private hot tub and let the bubbles melt your stress away.

The Toccoa River is a renowned trout fishing destination. Bring your gear and cast a line—especially at Sandy Bottoms Recreation Area, just a mile upstream and frequently stocked with trout.

Privacy & Hosts

From October to late April, we (Jane and I) live in the upper portion of the cabin with our two small dogs. The rental unit is completely separate and private. We're happy to assist with local tips or questions during your stay. The rest of the year, we’re in Montana—but plans may shift depending on fire season. Either way, your comfort and privacy are always our top priority.

Kitchen Note

The unit does not have a conventional oven, but it includes a convection microwave, griddle, hot plate and crock pot. Also a propane BBQ and griddle combo. With great restaurants just minutes away, you might not want to cook at all—after all, you’re on vacation!

ハウスルール

Please bag all garbage and place it in the orange container, in the drive way. The trash man will not take un bagged garbage.
If you would put the laundry in the washer and start it, the lady that does the house keeping, would sure appreciate it. Thanks!
If you use the corn hole boards, please put the bags back in the containers. Squirrels will chew though them to get the corn.

Owners live in the upstairs, which was nice because they were immediately responsive to a small issue. Just a few minutes from town, easy access to cabin on good roads, which is not always the case in the mountains! Cozy and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location was excellent for what we wanted to do. I did some fishing in the Toccoa river and actually caught a few trout. The residence was clean and well kept. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

The decor was rustic, authentic, warm, and inviting, giving a cozy and intimate vibe! It’s 10 miles away from downtown where there are a variety of antique shops, art galleries, and restaurants.There are several wineries close by, along with various hiking trails or you can venture further to state parks and waterfalls.One of the most enjoyable aspects was relaxing in the hot tub after all the adventures!It was the most relaxing and fun vacation I’ve enjoyed!

We had a wonderful time! The cabin is comfy and cozy. It was clean and well maintained. The property owner was very knowledgeable and friendly.There is a big red truck that is parked on the property that we realized was there to keep a boat from being taken but it threw us off a little when we first arrived.

Clean and tidy. The property and furnishings are slightly dated. If you just look at the pictures and don't read the details, you'd think the property is on the river, but it's not. It fooled us until after we booked. Overall, a very nice stay and I'd book it again!

Relax on the River

The cabin was fantastic! It is a gravel road going up to the cabin but my Toyota Camry made it up just fine. It was very clean and stocked with anything you could need, even a can opener and wine bottle opener. We used the grill to cook most of our items. It was simple to use. The back porch areas was relaxing! We loved the hot tub. It was also fun to walk down to the river. Now if you are like me, a Florida girl not used to the elevation you might get a little winded going back up but it was well worth it!We enjoyed that there were things nearby to go do. We hiked at Falls Branch Falls and did the tubing! Both were great!

Perfect weekend getaway

This place was exactly what we needed and honestly much more than we expected! Incredibly clean. Super spacious for the actual square footage. Wonderful outdoor spaces. Completely stocked everything you need. And Scott was a great host! He even made personal phone call to help us with a quick question. Highly recommend!

Cozy Spot in the Mountains

We loved this place. The back porch and firepit area were well used. We were provide with all the little necessities to make our stay great. The host, Scott, went above and beyond by letting us know, without prompting, that early check in was available the day of our arrival. We explored the area and fished from the deck beside the water. No one was upstairs during our stay. The place was about 10 or 15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge which was a plus. We will definitely be booking again.

Great Cabin in the woods!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was beautiful, and the cabin itself was very comfortable and homey. We celebrated my husband's birthday there for a quiet getaway and it was the perfect location. We walked down the stairs to the restaurant up the road for dinner and enjoyed the walk by the river. The bed was comfortable and also enjoyed the hot tub. We definitely would plan to stay there again next time we want a weekend in Blue Ridge.
