Room was spotless, guy that showed us in was polite amd friendly. Only downsides were the shower was very weak(fed from the mixer tap) and the blinds didnt keep much light out. Everything else was excellent value for money, great location for what we were doing.
Excellent room and service, facilities was great ,apart from little more cleaning needed toilet

Convenient location for what we needed. Bedding and pillows were dirty, lack of sleep due to noise from passing traffic because of gap in window frame. Got told that the pub closes at 3am but when we went at 2am it was closed which was disappointing.

Look, Malibu hotel is what it is. No reception, you call a number and someone comes out for you to let you in.
The rooms are clean - that’s important. The entire place is very clean.
It’s basic. Simple, clean beds and that’s all you need. This isn’t about sitting drinking coffee of a morning looking out over a sea view.
So for what it is, it’s fine.

Very handy location for the gay scene. Bed was comfy and it wasn't that noisy at night. The only thing I didn't like was the basic shower facilities. Found it very confusing trying to use the shower.
Check in a little unconventional but no problem.
Had room 9
Good size, heating good, fair condition.
Bathroom good size with bath.
Only problem window had half centimetre gap down one side that couldn’t be sealed so noise came in.

Mixed review
Positives were the location to winter gardens, comfort of the beds and easiness of checking in.
Negative of smelling weed upon walking to our room and even stronger smell this morning when we was walking out.
Room 9 was a little modernised with good tv and tea / coffee facilities
Carpet wasn’t clean, wall next to the bed on window side has some pink liquid on it.
Window was huge with nothing but the main curtain to stop you being in a goldfish bowl.
Toilet valve was not working so it was filling all of the time.
Bed cover had a couple of questionable marks on it.

Friendly staff, room was cosy and slept really well. Ideal base within reach of all local ammenities
good location.. room was good size
couple of wee minor issues... the 2 mugs were dirty and had not been cleaned from previous guests.. the radiator in the room did not work as the knob was broken so couldn't turn it up or down .. the bathroom one was working... the bathroom needs hooks/rail for you to hang your wet towel...
Basic hotel everything was clean ideally situated to all activities...
Friendly staff also a free welcoming shott at the bar over the road..
Large bath..
Lovely and warm room..
