"Being an avid traveller I often look for a stay outside the mainstream. This is one of them, and it's very good. Wintertime it's low key and peaceful but in the summer it's buzzing. Hotel and restaurant sits right on the water! There are only 10 rooms with a relaxing common area equipped with coffee and the by desire, so it's cozy. Easy check-in even late hours. "The Best Western in Hudiksvall was a great place to stay. Easy walking to many sites and restaurants. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The only down side was there is no air conditioning in the rooms and temperatures were unseasonably hot during our stay. "

"It was a nice place to stay. The only thing is that they should tell you that the last check in message will arrive late as well, because I thought I would not get the message and therefore not be able to go into the area. So they would need better communication. Also you should get the wifi password clearly when you book, I could not find it anywhere. Other than that it was good"

"Boutique hotel within walking distance of train station and in downtown Sundsvall. Lightly staffed and property was a bit aged, understandably because the building was probably 100 years old, but it met our needs and breakfast was sufficient. "

But what the biggest disappointment was, since I wanted to cook, there was nothing shown on the images available… sad. Please update the images and dont show cooking gear and oven, which is not available. "

"The location of this hotel is very unique being that it sits on a pier overlooking the water. Overall, the accommodations were wonderful for our family of 3. Unlike most family rooms in the area, our room had a dedicated single bed for our child to sleep on rather than a pullout sofa bed. The only inconvenience was that walking distance to dining options beyond what is available on the premises is a little long at about 20 minutes or so depending on your walking pace. Nonetheless, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant. "
