"The location of the Bear Necessities cottages is rural and quiet, yet close to town. Our cottage, though small, was clean and comfortable with a good shower. There is no air-conditioning, which is typical in Alaska. Heat was provided by a diesel heater. This was a little unusual, but we got used to it and it worked fine. No complaints. Would easily stay here again."

"Only down side is that the guest bedroom really needs either a new mattress or box spring.... Adult kids switched rooms 1 night for 1 night both thought pull out in couch was better! "A fantastic VRBO experience. Sarah and Todd were proactive in reaching out in advance of our arrival. Sarah recognized our vehicle at the local grocery store and introduced herself. Super friendly! We left behind one toiletry bag and got a text from Sarah...she asked Todd to put it out front for us and we were able to pick it up that evening when departing Seward. Great location!...and really, really well organized and clean property. 5 STARS!"
