Fisherman’s Get Away

10/10 Excellent

"This is a wonderful, two bedroom suite attached to what was the owner’s original self-built home. It is impressively decorated in a true Alaskan fisherman’s style. The owners are ridiculously talented decorators and artists. We personally met Lona and she is a hoot. A proud Alaskan to her core. We loved hearing the stories about her property and the Seward area. If you’re looking for a rental with authentic Alaskan flair, this is the place for you. All the amenities you need are provided, be it for a one night stay or a longer term rental. I especially enjoyed the "steam room" feature in the tiled shower. Man, did that feel good! We would definitely return to Lona & Dean’s “Fisherman’s Get Away” if we were to return to Seward. And I'm already going to recommend this rental to friends who are contemplating an Alaskan road trip like the one we just finished. Lona and Dean's house was a highlight for us. It’s awesome!"
