Mitr Inn Khaosan – Vergeet het Hilton, dit is hoe Bangkok hoort te voelen Als ik Mitr Inn Khaosan meer dan vijf sterren kon geven, zou ik het zonder twijfel doen. Dit is niet zomaar een hostel waar je een bed krijgt en de volgende ochtend weer vertrekt. Dit is zo’n plek waar je binnenkomt voor een paar nachten en vervolgens serieus begint te twijfelen of je überhaupt nog weg wilt. Ik heb in luxe hotels geslapen, waaronder hotels zoals het Hilton, maar eerlijk gezegd zou ik de volgende keer zonder aarzelen weer voor Mitr Inn Khaosan kiezen. Natuurlijk, bij het Hilton krijg je misschien een enorme lobby, marmeren vloeren en iemand die je koffer naar boven brengt. Maar Mitr Inn heeft iets wat veel belangrijker is: sfeer, persoonlijkheid en echte gastvrijheid. Vanaf het moment dat je binnenkomt, voel je je welkom. De sfeer is relaxed, gezellig en sociaal zonder dat het geforceerd aanvoelt. Het personeel is vriendelijk, behulpzaam en behandelt je niet alsof je simpelweg kamernummer 407 bent. Ze maken tijd voor je, helpen je wanneer je iets nodig hebt en zorgen ervoor dat je verblijf in Bangkok net even makkelijker en leuker wordt. Ook de locatie is fantastisch. Je zit midden in een van de leukste en levendigste delen van Bangkok. Khaosan Road en alles eromheen liggen praktisch voor de deur. Streetfood, bars, restaurants, massages, winkels en het beroemde nachtleven van Bangkok: je hoeft nooit ver te zoeken. Tegelijkertijd heb je bij Mitr Inn een fijne plek waar je je kunt teru
