"We were a family of four and stayed in a junior suite. We couldn’t have been happier with The Resident and can’t imagine getting a better hotel, better accommodation and better location in Liverpool. The hotel itself feels very upmarket. Stylish and spotless. Every member of staff we encountered were warm, friendly and efficient. We even had a hand written note in the room on arrival. The room was perfect and we just love the Ropewalks area. Close to everything and spoiled for choice in terms of restaurants. Bravo The Resident. We will definitely be back."
"The hotel stay itself was fab. It’s in a fantastic location and the room was clean and comfortable, though the mattress was very soft and nearly rolled off a couple of times with the edges being even softer. No discount for the car park even though the website mentions registering the registration at the desk. Very poor communication from the hotel itself. We received a message which said ‘urgent’ and to check in online, which we’ve never had to do in the past. Worried it was a scam (because there was a fee to do so) I messaged the hotel directly - and through Hotels.com - and instead of receiving a reply, I just kept getting the same ‘urgent’ message about checking in online. This left me feeling worried then that my original booking wasn’t genuine and I stood in the check-in queue on our day of arrival half convinced the booking didn’t exist. Luckily, all was fine but the worry could easily have been avoided if only the hotel had sent a response to my messages instead of a generic automated response telling me checking in online was ‘urgent’ when, in fact, I could simply check in at the hotel as I have always done."
"A spacious room with large desk area. Big kettle and mugs, good size tv, easy to use. Bed was comfortable and really liked the bathroom, well set out and particularly liked the large shower area with two glass doors, so clear and easy to open and close these doors. Nice full size toiletries. Asked for extra milk supplies many times at the reception desk as we do drink a lot of teas and coffees and we didn't want to have our room serviced very often so my 80 year old husband could not be disturbed in the morning. WiFi worked well. Paid for one breakfast, plenty of choice and stocked well even though we ate about 9am. Thoroughly enjoyed our first class fish and chips too on Friday evening. Liked the location, close to Albert Docks and to the bus station and Luverpool One. Would certainly recommend a stay here and would be happy to book again. Especially enjoyed being able to check in 2 hours earlier as our room was ready. All tge staff work so hard in all areas, often covering several sections at once. Only criticism, please learn to smile when you chat to guests it makes a big difference."
"The level of service was exceptional and the staff were friendy and helpful.
The continental breakfast was delicious and it was a lovely suprise to have table service instead of a buffet.
It is disappointing that the hotel is due to close on the 30th September, as we would have visited again in the autumn."
"As a first timer to the hotel chain, they really accommodated for my needs. The room was spotlessly clean going for a modern touch with high quality amenities for the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful asking for my room preference as well as any other questions I had, the lobby was very nice and modern with plenty of food and drink options available including a 24 hour bar which was cool. I felt really welcomed at this hotel and will definitely return in the near future."
