This is a very special place nestled in the jungle of a small village. The hot tub is fantastic. The kitchen is well equipped and the communication with Mary and José was fast and great. If you are looking for a peaceful place to rest, look no further. However, when I originally booked it, the listing said the location was in Centro, Bacalar. In actual fact, it’s 30 minutes out of town in a village called Buenavista. I noticed they have since changed the location on their listing. Luckily we had a car or it could really have messed things up.

Remote but lovely

If you book here expect correspondence from Atom Heart Bacalar. We did not know this and thought the message in What’s App was phishing so we ignored it. Once we got that straightened out, things were easier. It is very remote, bring everything you need for food and drink with you. Bacalar stores are about 1/2 hour drive. The place is beautiful and you feel like you are in a jungle. The outdoor kitchen has everything you need including an outdoor grill. They provide small pots with charcoal and salts to help keep the mosquitos away at night and it was quite successful. The beach club you have access to is run down so we didn’t stay long enjoying the villa grounds instead. I would definitely return to this place.

Beautiful and serene

Such a gem of a property, and exactly true to photos. I love to find unique places to stay and this choice was it! They tended to our needs quickly, and even came and cleaned and filled the pool while we were there so our boys could use it all day. The only fallback is it is 30 minutes away from Bacalar, so if you don't have plans to cook on your holiday (that was me) it is a bit of driving. But if you stock up with fruit from the road stands and some food before arriving, you will be glad to stick around the villa if you don't want to leave a lot. Great restaurant recommendations left by the hosts, and we enjoyed the Lagoon Rapids too.

Maison top ainsi que l’accueil

La maison est parfaite ainsi que l’accueil de José et Maria qui nous attendaient avec pleins de petites attentions. Très confortable et bien équipée. Cependant, je dois spécifier que la maison ne se trouve pas dans Bacalar mais à Buenavista à 30km. La position sur le plan d’Abritel est totalement fausse. Il faut absolument un véhicule.
