  • Enjoy spectacular views overlooking Pamlico Sound while vacationing at Pamlico Sails! You can easily walk to the ocean or set sail from the canalside boat ramp just outside your door.

    This custom-built home boasts a large lot for windsurf rigging, an under-house entry, outdoor showers, board racks, and ample parking. The entry level features a large family room with a TV, a DVD player, and a VCR, as well as views of the sound, a full bathroom, a wet bar, and a laundry area. The bedroom level has nine-foot ceilings, two master suites with private bathrooms, one master bedroom with a shared bathroom, and one bedroom with two bunks - all with views of the water. Two of the bedrooms on this level have deck access through glass sliding doors.

    The main living level is an open, spacious area with vaulted ceilings, a TV, a DVD player, decorator furnishings, a half-bath, and a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar, and dining with outstanding views. After a day of sailing, you can relax with friends as you gaze at the sunset or rest in the luxurious hot tub for eight. Topside is an oversize master bedroom suite with a queen-size bed, a private bathroom, a Jacuzzi tub overlooking the sound, a TV with a DVD player, and a sundeck with views from the ocean to the sound. Full speed ahead to the 3,300-square-foot Pamlico Sails!

    You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

    Please Note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

    Please Note: As a barrier island, Hatteras is constantly changing. Beach conditions, dunes, and access points may vary due to erosion, restoration projects, weather, and other environmental factors.

Amazing views, tons of space for multiple families

Beautiful open views to the water on the sound side. There was plenty of space for multiple families to be comfortable. We really loved and enjoyed the entire house. Two shower stalls outside after the beach were great to rinse off multiple little ones.

Excellent location and very spacious

The house is literally on the water making it amazing for water sports, we did windsurfing and Stand up paddling every day depending on the wind and it was great! The bedrooms are spacious and all bedrooms that have a queen size bed have some sort of view to the water! Loved the house!

We had a great week in the OBX loved the house

The house was really nice. Tbe ramp was perfect to put our boat in. I was able to kayak from the ramp. We had 2 days of rough weather thanks to Jose but overall it was great. Even got to visit the new Shelly island

Decent Stay

There were some issues when we arrived, but when notified Vacasa they were quick to make things right. The local manager herself came straight to the house herself to take care of one of our concerns. the location of the property is right on the canal to the sound and our family loves kayaking so it is perfect!

This house is great for large families who want to enjoy the sound. However it needs some TLC and a good deep cleaning. The sofas are badly stained, the jetted tub broken and leaking. The kitchen cabinets need to cleaned out, there were 4 coffee pots

This house isn’t bad at all it is a nice size. There are things about this place that need updating and it would be great. Hot tub doesn’t work that well it keep a temp of 108*. The stove was so-so but they did send someone out to fix it. The wood need up dated I like all the porches but if you go when they are a lot of rain it limits where you can go. The kitchen need more supplies wisk, spatulas . The grill needs updated. Location is great not far from anything great if you have a paddle board, canoe.

Cottage has beautiful views and great deck furniture. All frying pans need to be replaced and cottage needs storage containers. Mattresses in master bedrooms need to be replaced. They sink badly in the middle so you feel like you are rolling into a whole. The ice maker is great!

Very dirty home!

First and foremost mold everywhere mainly in the kitchen cabinets. Shower curtains full of mold, dead cockroaches laying all over first three floors. Air Vents had mold and moisture stains.

Beautiful location!

The house was beautifully located on the sound side where you can enjoy sunsets and sunrises each day on the porch. You have the opportunity to enjoy the water if you bring a fishing pole or kayaks - which is what we did! A new grill was recently installed so you were able to grill right next to the water. All of the queen bedrooms had its own bathroom which was incredible. The living room was an open plan to the kitchen which was great for family dinners and game nights. My only complaint was the kitchen utensils, pots/pans and knives needed an upgrade.

Alright home with mold issues.

Would be a great home in a good location but needs updated. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. There has been lots of water damage that has been painted over and not fixed properly. Now there terrible part. Just about every register on the upstairs floors were just about covered with mold and the drywall around them. We had 2 of them cleaned and painted while we were there because they were over the bed blowing on us and my wife was having sinus issues. That was only the registers. Who knows whats in the ducts. Needs to be addressed asap.

Pamlico Sails was a treat

Pamlico Sails is one of the few houses in the area with a ramp in the yard, which is why I chose it - extra heavy sea kayak is too big to car top and needs an easy place to set in. The house was a nice surprise, being well set up and nicely kept. A few peculiarites were amusing (20 different pots, 4 blenders, 4 coffee makers, 4 toasters - whole lot of stuff in those kitchen cupboards!). Had some questions re the hot tub and the fireplace (hot tub was my misunderstanding of the controls, fireplace was simply taking the fake logs out and turning the shut off back on) - nice fellow from the office came right over and sorted them both out in under 20 minutes. Very nice staff at the office - very paitent! The two decks make sitting out (one with a porch swing!) and admiring the view pleasant, and the hot tub is such a nice bonus, as I was there in the off season. Lots of extra pillows and blankets kept everything cosy - the owners have certainly left nothing to chance for your stay! By the way, a perfect place for a woman alone - the neighborhood is well off the highway and felt quite safe, even with practically no one around. I will try to come in the summer next time!

Nice home but has some issues

First time staying at this home. The frying pans need to be replaced as food sticks to them even when using oil. We did find big roaches on the first floor of the house. The house says it has a fish cleaning table which it does not and being out there fishing you need a table to clean them. The light in the fridge didn’t work and neither did the ice maker in the freezer. The freezer kept beeping and couldn’t find a way to stop it. Message the staff but no one ever came out to address these issues. Also only 3 sorry pot holders to use. I went and bought some to have in the house and left them for the next family. If the owner will correct these issues then it will be a great home with plenty of room for everyone.
