"Would highly recommend. Rustic room with extra sitting room, private balcony overlooking the river and palace of the Popes. Enjoyed walking around the old village, just down the hill from Maison Orisini. Host was wonderful providing maps and a tasty breakfast. We stayed 4 nights. "Avignon is a fantastic place to visit, and I am glad I was able to take my wife there to see it (I had visited it before, 40 years ago). La Banasterie was beautiful, clean, comfortable, safe and literally steps away from the major sites in Avignon. The owners were extremely helpful, even helping me figure out how to retrieve and item I left on the train. If we ever visit again, I would not hesitate to stay in this same location."

"The place is located in an ally. I walked 350 M and found the place (brass plate under call buttons). No telephone nor contact email informing us that this place can't be near a car parking location. I rang all the buttons and no one answered at 1800 hrs. Only request was an after 1700 check in. We had to find an alternative hotel (IBIS SUD). worst Expedia experience I ever had! Help!!! "

The property is 7km from Avignon centre and has room for 3 spacious accommodations, maintained in Provençal style, and plentiful continental breakfast. There is a lovely pool on property also. "I loved the location, right across the street from the old city. There was a grocery store next door, very convenient. The property seems to be student residences as well as hotel and has laundry facilities, safe bicycle storage, recycling, an exercise room and breakfast for an extra fee, which we didn't do. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was fine, the shower was great, the room was very spacious, but with a characterless, unadorned feel. Still, over all, good value. "

The place does not provide an alternative check-in method unless arranged before hand. We were traveling during the day without connectivity and were not able to receive their email.
