"The location is nearby the C train station. There is no hanger but only hooks for clothes in the room. The bed mattress was with bad smell in my 1st room, and the bed liner was with strong softener smell in my 2nd room. The water temperature was another issue for me. The room price can be another issue. I booked my room for under $100/night. But, the room rate was jumped to more than $200/night the next morning. The room rate was jumped again to more than $300/night on my check out day. Totally unbelievable!! "

"We traveled to the area for 3 days and chose the Liberty View based on location and cost. It was conveniently located to a subway station which made it easier to head out for the day without worrying about driving and parking. When we did need our vehicle, the parking was easy and secure. The room was small as we expected, but was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. The room safe was too small to fit a standard size laptop. Although we had a room on the top floor we did not have a view of the harbor, the statue or liberty or Manhattan. Breakfast and the fitness center were two amenities that influenced our decision. The breakfast options consisted of cereal, toast, pancakes, eggs, sausage, ravioli, potatoes and mixed vegetables. Both days the food was cold. Both days we had dirty utensils too. The fitness center had an elliptical that was undersized for commercial use and not working properly. The room was well lit and spacious but disappointing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. "

"The only downfall was very limited parking. That's to be expected in New York I suppose. Subway was close to use so once we found parking we didn't have to move our vehicle"

"I’ll start by saying the location was convenient, especially being close to the subway. However, that was about the only positive. The surrounding area felt dirty, and while the staff was friendly enough, the overall atmosphere of the hotel was uncomfortable. The entire building constantly smelled like weed and just downright terrible. There was a lot of traffic in and out of rooms throughout the night, and we witnessed people booking rooms for just a few hours at a time…. The room itself had several issues. The sheets were very thin and there wasn’t even a fitted sheet—just a flat sheet placed over the bed. There was also an unfinished patch on the wall and part of the door was missing, which made us feel uneasy about safety and maintenance. On top of that, the toilet ran constantly, which was both annoying and made it hard to sleep. There is also a nightclub downstairs that you can hear booming all night. The walls are paper thin, and other guests seemed to stay up blasting music and yelling as well. The noise truly did not stop for the entire four nights we were there, making it very difficult to get any rest. Another thing to be aware of: housekeeping comes in daily to change towels and restock toilet paper, even if you’re not in the room, so keep that in mind if you value privacy. Overall, I would not recommend staying here and would not choose this hotel again."
