"Wonderful budget hotel option with valley views down to the Mediterranean. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious! Our host was very friendly and helpful. Parking is provided just off the main parking lot for a discounted rate, and our host helpfully parked for us so we wouldn’t have to navigate the tight corners. Location couldn’t be better - literally steps to the piazza duomo and villa rufolo. Note : The market is in the parking lot on Tuesdays and they start setting up around 5am so it is noisy outside the window. We didn’t attempt to drive our car through the market that day - made the long walk down to Atrani and Amalfi for a beach day instead. Would come back to Il Ducato!"

"This is our favorite hotel! We stayed here in 2012 and the manager gave us $200 to use until we could get to a bank the next day. My husband’s wallet had been stolen on the bus from Rome. We were determined to return to the hotel with such fabulous employees. Carlos helped us many times, what a gentleman!The room and view were exceptional!"

"This hotel is beautiful and luxurious, however what made the stay so enjoyable is the quality of the staff. They were all very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Great base for exploring Pompeii, Naples city and also Sorrento/Amalfi but you also have the peace of being outside the busy centre of Naples. 9.5/10. "
