"Housekeeping was excellent and spotless. The food was really tasty and we never had a bad meal here, the spread was very good. Service in general was very spot on especially Chaminda, who took really good care of us. The kids club ran by Shashini was very well received by our daughter and overall we had a really good time hear. We would love to visit again! "

"What a beautiful place with kind, caring staff! I was sick during most of my stay, and they were quite understanding, helpful, and attentive! My bed at Villa Thamburu was the most comfortable out of any place I've stayed during my nine years of traveling abroad. It truly made being sick ok because of the warmth and peaceful environment of my room. "

"The bedsheets and mattress were wet and some moist smell was coming. One half of the bathroom sliding door was broken. The beds are very small for twin beds’ size. There was no proper process/queue for check-in. It was not managed properly and anyone was coming in between and was checking in. The hotel seems to be overcrowded. The beach was not accessible. There were stones and fisherman boats were there which made the water smell oily and bad. The only good thing in hotel was swimming pool and food. I tried calling reception to get my room upgraded or changed but the number call was transferred and disconnected eventually. Not sure how it is rated as 5 star. Overall we had a really bad experience, not at all worth the money we spent. "
