"Great hotel with good facilities, friendly staff and free sake tasting"

"This is a very lovely hotel in downtown Takayama. We were staying here for one night coming from Kusatsu. We had some issues with the GPS so were going to be late for dinner, we called them and they said they would hold dinner for us no issues. We had the Hida beef dinner which was fantastic. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic. The room had a nice view of the river and we left the door open all night without any noise. Most of the town closes down at 6pm but opens back up at 8am. The beds were very uncomfortable so glad we only stayed one night. The staff was very friendly. They helped us pick out our yukatas and gave us beautiful tabi socks as a souvenir. "

"The room was fairly spacious and had a washer/dryer combo unit which made it very convenient. Great location as Takayama train and bus station is right outside the front gates. Their jinbei was really comfy. You could wear it around the hotel and go to the free foot spa on one of the upper floors."

"This location is PERFECT! Right by the JR Train station as well as Nohi Bus Station. LOTS of shops within a minute's walk too. Very clean, has everything I needed and more. Breakfast is good. Loved the candied yams 🍠. Arigato!!"
