"Really friendly hosts, drinks and cake on arrival as well as facilities in the room. Lovely gardens. Breakfast was excellent. We left some stuff behind by mistake which is kindly being posted back to us. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again."

"We had a gorgeous stay at Bridge Cottage, such a welcome pitstop if you're walking the South Downs Way or visiting the local area. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable, Miranda is a wonderful host and the location is perfect to enjoy some of the local pubs. We'd highly recommend and will be back! "

"The room was OK, but finding the hotel and finding the room within the hotel were both very difficult. They also asked for an additional card checking fee before check-in, though thankfully they waived this when we queried it. The remote check in made the start of the stay very stressful, but once we were in it was fine. There are some lovely period features in the property, but some of the paneling is actually wallpaper!"

"Warm friendly welcome in traditional hotel - fantastic location with plenty of walking / wildlife / views and places to eat & drink !
We will be back ..
Thank you"
"The hotel is fantastic. Perfect beachfront location, really lovely decor. We upgraded and our room had air con and a balcony and was lovely and quiet. If I had one issue with the room it was that the shower - which was huge so promised great things! - was a bit feeble and not that hot. It was a shame because the rooms were decorated to a really high standard as was the bathroom. Also if you have a big car (I don’t) be mindful that the garage space for parking is TINY and will require some expert manoeuvring but then Brighton isn’t really great for parking full stop so it’s good that the hotel has any parking at all. These are small details because overall the hotel was fantastic and so were the staff. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again"
"Lobby area and breakfast area were well laid out. Room met our needs, air con worked well, shower was good. We used the fitness room too which was good size and not too busy. Chose to add on breakfast which had good variety. All staff very friendly. Would recommend."
"This hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment. Unfortunately the air conditioning was out of order for the bulk of my stay and a standing fan placed in the room instead.
Carpet was very worn.
It looked like the en suite may have already been refurbished but the shower was off bad design and leaked into the bathroom floor.
Staff didn't engage when I returned each day (stayed five nights).
Breakfast was excellent and the staff there very helpful.
Great location to the seafront and Brighton Centre."
"It’s a budget hotel, does what it says in the tin. Clean, comfy bed, 2 lifts, very helpful and friendly staff (they found a charger for me to borrow straight away). It’s right by Brighton station, or if driving - there’s the big station car park just the other side (and it’s cheaper than the main town sites!) - also buses on the door step. Outside there are convenience shops, piles of pubs and takeaways (we didn’t have any noise issues though). Right in town, straight down the hill to the Beach - minutes to the lanes and main for the shops. If you just want a bed to get your head down - ideal."

If you want to lose yourself exploring fascinating exhibits, you might consider stopping by Amberley Working Museum and Arundel Museum while you're in town.
