"This motel is incredibly clean with very comfortable mattresses and pillows! The bathroom fixtures and furniture are old and look very run down but honestly having a really clean place to stay is more important than a dresser with knicks and dings in it! The location is super close to down town and the beach- another plus. "

"The Sandcastle is a beautiful place. The beach is right out the front door and downtown is just a few minutes walk. The rooms and facilities were spotless and comfortable and the staff were exceptional. Our only issue was paying $30/day for parking. They have a parking lot, we paid for the room so we felt like paying extra for parking was unacceptable. Also, if your room is located near the deck and common area, don't expect quiet. It's a bar/gathering place not just for guests but for the public and was quite noisy."

"Our room was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was the typical hotel buffet, nothing exceptional. The pool and hot tub were nice, located on the roof, the only downside is the hot tub location. If they had put it on the other side of the pool you would see the sunset. I would stay here again if I came back through."

"The staff were awesome. Especially Kevin at the front desk. Everything I asked for was granted. Room 424 I think that’s the room. Corner balcony room was awesome. The kitchen staff were so kind. Absolutely loved it. We will be back. We told several of our friends and they too will be staying. See you next year!"

"The room was large and looked out on a lovely backyard. But, the room was a bit rough. There were lots of scuffs on the walls, fixtures/furniture were old/worn, and there was a strange, large open space that looked like it once held a couch. The hotel itself has some beautiful old common rooms/spaces. We came to town for a graduation and thought it would be fun to stay someplace more unique. We arrived at the hotel around 2:15 and were told that check-in was at 3pm, unless we wanted to pay a fee. So, we waited…as did other people who began showing up. Consequently, then, right at 3, there was a very long line of people that had to wait for one of the two clerks. The opposite of good customer service, in my opinion. The first room we were assigned smelled like cigarette smoke. So, then we had to take our luggage cart back downstairs and wait in the long line to be assigned an alternate room. No real apologies - and no dispensation. The location is convenient. But, stay in one of the newer hotels in town and go there to check out the cool rooms and stained glass."
