"We booked the house primarily for two reasons: the outdoor area and the 6-room capacity for our large mixed-age group. Unfortunately, in summer, the house is a 5-bedroom, as one windowless bedroom is locked, and the 2 upstairs bedrooms get oppressively hot.The outdoor areas were great and the host tried to fix the many issues we had during our stay, but fundamentally, the house, beds, furniture, tableware and appliances are old and all areas are cluttered with some cupboards full of personal effects.We had several issues, including a repeatedly flooding toilet, mild electric shocks from the built-in fryer, a non-functioning washing machine (which was replaced), kitchen and bar fridges unable to stay cool, taps coming off, slow wifi with poor coverage, daily bird excrement due to nests in the eaves and unvacuumed bedframes with a suspected bed-bug skeleton.Given the issues we had and, more importantly, the lack of the advertised sixth bedroom, I requested a discount. In response, I received a very personal criticism that we broke items and spent too much time at the house rather than the beach, which resulted in increased electricity and pool chemical bills. Not what I expected given the friendly welcome we had and the 1000 per night price tag."

"Jose was very good for the initial booking thryto leave, made us feel comfortable at all times, good communication and always ready to pop in if needed, loves the dog and very helyin all other aspects, even when our car battery went flat, he also invited me to see his farms. "Casa Vista Verde was a lovely finish to our trip to Portugal. After a whirlwind 7 day tour group experience, it was perfect to relax and unwind in Sesimbra and enjoy the serene landscape and slower pace. The location outside the city offered us space and peace but close enough to hop in the car to get to the beach, market or local sites. "

"18 of us stayed in Villa Santa Cruz, 13 adults and 5 kids. The villa was lovely and spacious, lots of bedrooms for us all. The kitchen was great, well stocked with all kitchen utensils, had 2 fridges, one for food and one for drinks, think another oven would have been a great asset for the size of the kitchen. The outside area was also lovely, lots of space for outside dinning. The pool was a good size, both kids and adults had a great time in it, especially as it was so hot the last few days. The only setback for us was there wasnt enough sunbeds, but there was plenty of chairs on the decking area. The villa supplied pool towels which was a bonus. The BBQ was great and got used a few times. Theres not much around the area, just a couple of cafes and McDonalds. You could get a taxi to Sesimbra town and beach which took about 10mins and cost on average Euros 5, there were plenty of Ubers. Sesimbra beach is lovely, the sand is soft and the water is clear and shallow. There are lots of lovely restaurants to choose from. The supermarket is only 10minutes walk away. Overall i would recommend staying at Villa Santa Cruz"
