Staff were friendly and helpful and the on-site restaurant was great food and convenient - we were even able to take wine back to our room from there even though it's separately operated from the hotel. Room was spacious - though we requested one bed, we were allocated a twin room - not a big deal as the beds were still comfortable, it just wasn't acknowledged that the room preference could not be met....

"The Calafate is a beautiful town, there are many activities to do, The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the must and The Chaltén another must you do, El Fuerte Hotel has an amazing panoramic view of the city and the lake, the rooms are ok, the food delicious and the service is excellent "

"Hotel is okay, friendly staff. No restaurant around, you would have to walk for about 40 minutes to look for an eatery. The nearest mall is about 40 minutes walk. Taxi is very cheap and it’s a long wait no Uber around Ushuaia."

We enjoyed the breakfast, comfortable beds, and proximity of the hotel to nearby restaurants and shops in San Carlos de Bariloche while being situated in a park-like setting with views of the lake and mountains. Would stay again and highly recommend."
