Like most of the Haiti properties, they have been there a while. The beauty of this place is incredible. The ability to be immediately over the water makes eating and visiting somewhat unique. Food was very good, but it needs to be ordered quite in advance. Staff are very polite and accommodating. I have visited several times over the past 20 years, and I keep going back. It is charming.
Lets just say this hotel is not what it once was. I have been there in past but sadly it is far from what it once was. The owner was rude. I thank god I had used a third party to make my reservations. Expedia allows you to add or remove guest from your list. I removed one of mine ( from 4 ppl to 3) to later re add him ( making us 4 again). The lady was upset that I had made changes to my reservation. she only printed the one listed for 3 instead of 4 and made a scene with the desk man who tried to tell her my current reservation was for 4. she went on and on about me having changed my reservations numerous times even exagerating it to me having edited 4 times. ( mind you editing your reservation is permitted as long as the final reservation reflects the amount of people who actually show up). I still don't understand what bothered her to the point of being rude and insulting. she fixed her rates for children under 5 I had my daughter who fit in that category ( for whom I paid) the owner even told her employee ( loud enough for me to get the hint) " I need to change my policies to fixing the lower rates for children under 2, I won't allow people to come with kids this old and benefit from this price. I believe I complied to her own rates as all my guest were paid for. I don't think it is right to disrespect clients who come to your hotel. to make matters worst the rooms were disgusting. they advertise tv's in the rooms, not in ours.
We had made a reservation a month in advance for a bungalow and the night we arrived the owner said that we had cx that Hotel .com sent then a cx email which wasn’t true. They gave our room to someone else. She did not care what happen to us.
We were stranded on December 31 with no where to go we drove for an hour to find the nearest hotel they only have a room that was been renovated to spend the night.
The staff was very professional and friendly. They paid attention to details. The food was great and service was fast each time. They really made us feel at home and never had to ask twice for anything. Hotel needs a little facelift, but absolutely nothing to complain about. Rooms are very comfortable and clean.
Beautiful and big services are fantastic. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone. I've been many time .services always greater. The stall are professional plus administrator are on point

Had a similar experience to Guy's posting.
Showed up with my besties on new year's eve with a paid reservation (I had my receipt/confirmation email) and the hotel would not let us check in. With limited other options -- all the beach hotels were booked -- and after a long discussion with the owner, we agreed to pay them again for the room (rate was higher) with the hopes of getting a refund from hotels.com. I have since called hotels.com every week and they have yet to agree to a refund.
Terrible service and last time I or any of my friends use hotels.com!
Ouangah Beach Hotel provided excellent service despite the failure of Hotels.com to make a booking, and we were fortunate their last room was still available. We had to pay Ouanga directly at the time and 2 weeks later we are still awaiting communication from Hotels.com to our complaints by both the website and through e-mails and there is still not refund of our fee from Hotels.com

Very nice staff.
Hotel is seriously outdated. Pool area is nice. Bathrooms are nasty in the rooms.
Need more choices for breakfast...spaghetti and eggs everyday will not cut it if I was staying more then two days.. The staff was outstanding..management should listen to they ideas
