Close enough to the action, far enough for a restful sleep, newly renovated, perfect sheets, towels, spa grade soap and nice freshly ground coffee in the room as well as a mini fridge !

The hotel was very nice and clean with a very friendly staff who were willing to help you. Also the hotel is nicely located near Old Quebec which made it very convenient. The one caveat I will add is that the information on the hotel stated Hôtel Port-Royal is exceptionally close to the main Quebec Cruise Terminals (Piers 21 and 22), located just 0.2 to 0.3 miles away. It typically takes only a 3 to 5-minute walk or a 1-2 minute drive/taxi ride to get to your ship. In our case it took us more like 30 mins from the ship to the hotel, the distance was much further.

Bed was very comfortable. Location was excellent. Room and hotel was clean and great ambiance. For what we paid (1500+ for two nights), we were disappointed. It was a small room, low ceilings, no view, no balcony. We didn’t receive turn down service first night, even though we told the person we were leaving in 5 minutes. She just handed us two chocolates. No bike rentals, no pool, no hottub, restaurant was closed for both days, breakfast was not included and cost an extra $45/pp. We don’t mind paying for luxury but this was missing a lot for the cost.
