「These domes are an awesome way to enjoy the ambiance of Iceland a stones throw from Reykjavik. On. A nice day I’m sure you can see the mountains and have a great view of the aurora. We were there in rainy foggy conditions, but that just made the domes seem more cozy. The hot tub was amazing in the cold Icelandic air, and the macarons and bubbles were a nice check in surprise! 」
「I did not get my check in instructions ahead of time and was locked out on the first night. I had to pay 244 euros for a hotel. Neither summer day nor Expedia would refund me. Fraud as they blamed each other. The internet did not work in my room and the person who responded could only say “good luck”. Horrible place to stay. Would not recommend either summer day or Expedia. 」

Pros: Great location, convenient to restaurants, bars, stores and attractions. awesome view of the ocean. very spacious and comfortable. support team was very responsive and answered all questions promptly via email
Cons: It was more of an apartment than a hotel room which I didn't realize. Because of that there was no reception or housekeeping, minor inconvenience.

「very nice and quiet just outside the downtown. bit of a walk to the busy downtown area of Reykjavik, but if you don't mind that then its worth saving for a less crowded and easy going area. Plus side it was closer to larger stores you may want supplies from (big grocery/costco/etc) and it was easier to hit the road to drive out to tour different sites. Parking was free if you can find it, but there was a fair bit of street parking so we didn't have issues. Kids loved it, would definitely go...
