"Terrible experience FAKE REVIEWS We were checked into a room with - a thick layer of dust on all surface areas - a dirty food stained napkin and a pubic hair at the coffee station - the bed was made but the sheets were not changed - on the sheets we found pubic hair, body hair, body fluid stains, glitter and hair like someone had a hat cut in the bed There was dried blood on the door frame and above the washroom trash can The toilet had not been cleaned Of course I went to the front desk and the staff asked me to show the cleaner what needed to be cleaned I was not comfortable to do this as I felt it was not appropriate for a guest to direct cleaning staff. Nor should it be my job to ensure the room is clean. We checked out and had to find a new hotel. Only to find that they charged my card for the full 4 nights and refused to approve a refund to Expedia. Then - when I called - the manager spoke on and on about ensuring me the room was removed from being offered to guests and they were investigating what happened. To me it was clear what happened. I don’t care about the room or an investigation- I wanted a refund. The manager then asked me to help her with a surveillance issue / that after we checked out someone damaged the door frame. I was like / what ?? Why are you asking me this? Then I realized it was for the purpose of accusing us of the damage to refuse a refund. A scam. A fraud. A horrible hotel. "

"Our stay was simply wonderful. The cottage is spotless, well furnished, comfortable and in a great location. The host is a treasure. He arranged airport transportation, met us at the cottage and provided some great recommendations for our stay. We quickly felt like we were staying in a dear friend's cottage! "

"Gemstones is a breathtaking getaway with all the amenities of home. The property is situated on a spectacular private little beach with views that just picture perfect. It’s also a short walk to Horseshoe Bay, and some other great resorts if you want a fun night out. The layout of the house is great for a large family, and the owners are fabulous to deal with. Highly recommended!"

Wendell gave us great ideas for activities and sites that we might enjoy and we really enjoyed learning about Bermuda from him. The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. location was perfect with a bus stop across the street and walkable to the most stunningly beautiful beaches plus several places to eat. A perfect place to stay."
