A unique boutique hotel in easy reach of all areas of Amsterdam, about 10 mins walk from Central station. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was very different to the usual corporate room and perfectly comfortable with a large bathroom. Topped off with an excellent breakfast this was a great find.
Hard to write up this one ?
Magnificent hotel and corner room setting along with a breakfast fit for a king. Immaculate old world feel. Great location too!
Although a hotels main intention at the end of the day is sleep.
At this price point , one would expect a mattress that’s not warped and bulging making for a very uncomfortable sleep for the two of us. Worse off was the outdoor noise emanating from the alley and busy corner.
Great location. Staff was excellent and helped us with our questions about the area ( restaurants, local travel, etc..). Room was fun and also interesting ( Shoemaker. room). Highly recommend the canal view rooms. Breakfast provided was very nice
An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Amsterdam! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel The Craftsmen and cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, the exceptionally helpful staff made us feel incredibly welcome, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our trip. The hotel itself has a wonderfully nice and cozy atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to return to after a long day of exploring. The location could not be better. It is centrally located right along the beautiful canals, putting us within easy walking distance to many major sights, picturesque canals, and fantastic local restaurants. Every morning started perfectly with their fresh and good breakfast, which offered a delicious variety of high-quality options. If you are looking for a unique, boutique experience with top-tier service in Amsterdam, this is absolutely the place to stay. We will definitely be back!
Marvellous welcome in this absolute treat of a hotel. Beautifully furnished, exceptionally comfortable and fantastic design.
The breakfast gets 1 million out of 10. Freshly onsite baked goods - chocolate banana bread and mini Dutch pancakes particularly good. Fresh fruit yoghurt and delicious muesli as well as dejection of meat and cheese - no lunch required!!!
Super location, glorious view etc etc. Very sad to have to go home.
Would have given 4 stars but unfortunately, the wifi did not work during our entire stay, which is challenging for travellers outside of the EU.
Great location - walking distance from the train station and close to Jordaan, Anne Frank House and other areas to explore. The streets are quiet and clean in this area.
We stayed in the Woodworker room and it was good. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was large and had lovely amenities like Le Labo products, a Dyson hairdryer and robes.
The breakfast was nice - a traditional Dutch breakfast with a boiled egg, some mini pancakes, granola with yogurt and fruits, etc.
I most enjoyed the atmosphere and theme of the hotel, a wonderful merge of partially intact 17th-century Amsterdam with playful post modern industrial chic. Wonderful staff, very welcoming.

Really nice room, great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend.
Only spent 1 night at the craftsmen, but could easily stay there 1 month. It was amongst the most charming hotels I've ever visited, full of history and with the most friendly staff.
