"A pet-friendly hotel can sometimes present challenges for guests seeking a peaceful stay. After an extensive drive, we found ourselves in an unexpected situation, visiting our third Best Western in as many days during a thousand-mile journey. The check-in experience was unfortunately met with discourtesy from the staff. When a dog, left unattended and vocal, was placed in the adjacent room, the staff simply stated that it was a "pet-friendly hotel." While I appreciate animals, I believe the comfort of other paying guests should be prioritized over the convenience of pet owners whose animals may be disruptive. Furthermore, no loyalty program benefits were acknowledged at this establishment. There is certainly room for improvement."

"I travel a lot in Amarillo is always my stopping point on my way to Arizona. I love staying at this hotel. It is priced appropriately, very clean, in a great location, the staff is always super sweet and helpful. I can’t say enough good things about this specific Microtel property-it has to be one of the best in the country and I’m not lying. I’ve stated others, and they are not nearly as nice as this, and the staff is first class. I was up gone early in the morning on a Sunday before the breakfast was out and the overnight worker who I saw when I walked in was putting stuff out and had coffee made. I needed that coffee to get moving on my way and for a free hotel breakfast , the standard fare , this one is always good. Not stale or letting stuff sit there too long then it looks like crap. I mean if you want delicious go to waffle House… and I mean that too but solid place Love staying here. Big props to the workers. Pay them more and give them raises."

"Seemed like a great place but it definitely needs some tlc. The pool water was milky, and water from it splashed all across the floor so the indoor playground ground was soaking wet. When my kids slid down the slide and landed in the floor they had very wet bottoms. The room seemed in need of repair, the clo didn't close correctly, the faucet in the bathroom was half black half silver in color bc the black coating was brittled off."
