My price for the night was $55, which was unbeatable. I got a very clean, quiet and large room, clean bed for this – and this is what mattered to me. I felt very safe there, The property itself is very "tired". Don't count on breakfast though - yep, it is included, but it was one of the worst breakfasts in my long travel history. If you want a clean room and bed for one night in your travel – it is a good choice.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Staff was curtious. But the room key didnt work half the time. The bed sheets were stained and had burns on them.
Room was as described in photos, though a tad dated. Unfortunately, we arrived a little late for the breakfast, and there was no milk/cream. The food was acceptable and the friendly employee assisting with serving made the experience positive.

Convenient to the highway I felt safe in the room I slept well. The toilet didn't work properly the one chair in the room was broken I had a lot of trouble finding the hotel I had to call to ask him how to get there. There's no Albany plaza sign that you can read at night because the light on the sign is out and the building only says ramada. For the price that's fine but don't expect much

Good location the gentleman running the breakfast buffet is a real asset to the company. I am very nice unfriendly man. The front desk was good. Places kind of old it seemed a little bit rundown. For me it was OK for one night nice clean towels. The room I have I think it was 804 definitely needs to be remodeled. It seems like it should be like a 50 or $60 a night, place. My stay was OK.
Horrible service.
Breakfast had barely any options
Staff first day was a gentleman, was kind helpful and pleasant lady next day was RUDE argued with me when I asked for milk for my cereal ignored my request for items multiple times
Room was FILTHY hair everywhere showers dirty towels had a horrible odor
Door would not latched closed
After a day at a funeral service came back to room to relax was disturbed by BANGING loud knocks at about midnight on the door when answering no one was there.
Water was brown colored coming from sink . Blankets were cigarette burn marks everywhere in a non smoking room . Electrical outlet sparked a flame when inserting my charger .
Worse hotel experience EVER
At 2:30am i found a bed bug crawling on my pillow!
So, i had originally stayed here back in 2017, and back then this hotel was still a Ramada Hotel. Back then it was clean and well maintained.
Then, this past weekend, i had a long drive back from a friend’s wedding and decided to break the trip up into two days. I saw a good price for this hotel, which was no longer the Ramada Plaza hotel, but now the Albany Plaza Hotel (though the sign out front says it’s the “A Plaza” with the “R and MADA” from the original sign painted over). I thought, well it was nice back in 2017, it’s probably still nice now even after the name change. Wrong.
From the outside, you can see how the current owners have neglected the property. Overgrown grass and bushes and many potholes all through the parking lot.
The lobby seemed ok, but only one elevator was working, and it seemed a bit dirty. Once i got on my floor, it smelt bad, kind of like a barn would smell, and wasn’t lit very well.
Once i got into my room, i was taken back by how hot it was when i first walked in, well over 90 degrees. I then noticed that several pieces of the ceiling had broken off, or were hanging off. The furniture was all in extremely rough condition. The bathroom was bad, no tissues in the spot for the tissue box, a dirty shower curtain and a dirty bathtub floor. Also, i noticed the mattress wasn’t kept in a mattress protector.
Then at 2:30 am, i saw a bed bug crawl across my pillow. Unacceptable!
Lobby staff polite room had burn holes in carpet and in bedding
A non smoking floor smelled like cigarettes and weed. No drain to take a bath and stains all over the walls in sink area and shower walls very dirty

Clean room and friendly staff made this a great stay. Very convenient location for my trip to Albany.
Comfortable bed, good shower, clean room, and very kind and helpful women at front desk. Those are what’s important for me on a quick one night stay. Thanks!
