"The breakfast menu had a large range of options and differed every day. I (as a foreigner) was able to enjoy everything provided and also try some Japanese dishes. The staff was were incredibly helpful, answering any question I had and going above and beyond in many cases. The room was always clean and the bed was very comfortable."

One interesting thing about the Akita Castle Hotel is that it is a repository for famous artists and artworks. It has an original Picasso! Access to the airport is easy as there is a local bus which stops at the hotel."
