By Ghanaian standards, the pink hostel is a 3-star hotel. It has all the minimum essentials and the staff are very helpful and friendly. At Accra International, I was given only large bills, which is a huge problem when you need to use cash every in Ghana. The front desk staff were kind enough to provide me with change so I could actually use the cash to buy from vendors on the streets or in the markets. The breakfast is standard, and includes 1 egg, 2 rolls or bread, 1 chicken sausage, and coffee or tea - as they advertise, typical English breakfast. The room itself is cleaned every day, but you must leave the key with the front desk to allow the cleaning staff in. They also replace the sheets and towels (had single room - not bunk bed, so do not know if they provide sheets in those). It is fairly clean, but the hotel is old and dated. For the price, however, this place is great. Also, the wifi is fairly solid and the AC works very well, which is more than what I was expecting from this place, so that was a major plus. If you are looking for an upscale stay that is very modern and clean, try North Ridge Alisa Hotel or Paloma Hotel across Ring Road central - these are both 4 and 5 star hotels. These places are extremely clean and modern.
NOTE: The power goes out typically in the middle of the night, which means no electricity or running water, so I recommend you take your shower in morning (after 6:00 am) or at night (before 10:00 PM).
