"I enjoyed my stay at Sophy Hotel Chicago overall. The hotel has a beautiful decor and a warm, stylish ambience. The common areas were spacious and well maintained, and my corner suite was especially roomy and very clean. The staff were also friendly and pleasant throughout my stay. My biggest disappointment was the dining experience. There is no room service, which was inconvenient. I had breakfast at the restaurant and ordered an omelette, but it arrived hard and very brown. The staff were gracious about it and kindly offered me something else and reduced the cost, which I appreciated. I also had dinner at the restaurant, but unfortunately the food was just okay and lacked flavor. Given the overall quality and atmosphere of the hotel, I expected the dining experience to be stronger. Overall, Sophy is a lovely, comfortable hotel with beautiful spaces, spacious rooms, and friendly staff. I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again."

"The property was beautiful, our host was friendly and responsive, and nearby access to public transportation made our stay unforgettable. I would highly recommend this lodging to anyone who is looking to explore downtown Chicago and is willing to get familiar with public transportation. It was convenient and comfortable and we will definitely stay here again if/when we return to Chicago."

"The queen beds were comfortable and the parking was easy. It was nice that there were so many bathrooms, so no one ever had to wait. There was no bedding for the futons/couch, we found a thin blanket to use as a sheet and we happened to bring a blanket with us, so we made do. In the common areas there isn't much comfortable seating. Someone was sleeping on the couch, so that only left the table with chairs upstairs. Be aware that when the people on the floor above walk around it is very loud. So bring ear plugs or a white noise machine. It is easily walkable to the Obama Presidential Library, which is a must see!"

"This house and neighborhood is absolutely wonderful. Proximity to train station in ease of getting into downtown Chicago was top-notch. Proximity to beach and other local attractions was great as well. The home had the most comfortable beds and was perfectly spacious enough to accommodate the six guests staying here. We had such a great time and hope to visit again someday soon."
