"Hotel was in a great location near to the station. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed for a short stay. Ideal for our time in Kyoto! My only negative was that the hotel didn’t have a bar and the restaurant was quite basic. We had to go next door to the hotel for a drink and some atmosphere."

"Hotel is under going renovation. No disruption encountered except you'll see some workers at the lobby. However, it is well managed and everyone is polite. Counter staff were friendly and helpful. Great location as it is just about 4mins away from Kyoto Station! Read the public bath is good but didn't have a chance to use it. Lots of convenient stores around the hotel as well! Room was new and I can lay out 2 mid size luggages at the same time. However, I must say precision maneuvering is required with 2 people in the room especially so when near the 'corridor' outside the toilet. Constantly reminded me of the movie 'Entrapment' when Cat Zeta-Jones was doing the security laser maneuver especially so when using the toilet!!! I'm use to the size of toilets and hotel rooms in Japan but no matter how prepared I am, the size of this toilet just gets me under my skin! The tap in the toilet is another annoyance for me as I can never understand the instructions to lower the water pressure. Too high tech for me I guess... "
