「My grandparents stayed at this hotel back in the 1950s so I gave it a whirl. Good location within walking distance to most places in Ullapool and very self-contained with no need to venture out for meals. Large parking lot for easy parking. We ate dinner at the hotel as my 88 year old mother was tired. For breakfast we went to The Bothy Coffee Shop. Very cute and quirky place with indoor and outdoor eating space.」

「ツアーで行ったオークニー旅行の途中、この宿に夜８時に到着。ツアーのミニバスが玄関に着くと同時に建物の中から出迎えの声が聞こえ、笑顔の美しいオーナーが私のファーストネームを呼びながら話しかけてきてくれました。４泊５日の最後の宿でしたので、わりと疲れがたまっていたのですが、彼女のおもてなしの気持ちが伝わってきて、夫も私も元気になりました。朝食もおいしく、夫がいただいたコンチネンタルの朝食には大きなメロンの上に旬のサマー・ベリーズが３種類ものっかってました（ラズベリー、ブラックベリー、いちご、ブルーべリー）。ひとつだけ残念だったのは、バスルーム付という表示を見てダブルの部屋を予約したのですが、割り当てられた部屋の中にバスルームがなく、部屋を出たすぐのところ（階段の踊り場）にある私たち専用のバスルームを使わないといけませんでした。使うたびに服を着て部屋を出るのが面倒だったので、予約サイトでの明示が必要かと思います。こうした不自由はありましたが、次にUllapoolに泊まる機会にも泊まりたいと思う宿です。」

「Extremely disappointing stay. I booked for 3 people, but the room was only suitable for 2. The third bed was tiny, rock hard and not fit for proper sleep. I could not let my son sleep on it, so I had to use it myself and eventually ended up on the floor. After driving over 8 hours, this completely ruined what was meant to be a nice family trip. 「I booked a room described as a 'Double or twin room with sea view'. In the notes of the booking, I requested twin beds but I was allocated a double room. The man serving me - older gentleman, white hair - would have struggled to care less. No apology, he just blamed Expedia and gave us a room with no view, which wasn't how we wanted to end our trip. There are signs everywhere telling guests what all the rules are. The hotel feels like an old people's home rather than a holiday destination. ...
