"This hotel is NOT for tourists. The front desk don't speak English, and it is located in an area which is ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING, DON'T EVER THINK TO RENT A CAR AND GO THERE, a motor cycle will hit you for sure. Some staff are dependable, "thank you Andre" Giving the low price and cleanness I rated it as 4 stars. If I was going by the area it is located in, it would get only one star. "

"The stay was great, Frank was helpful and welcoming, parking was secure, the location and views were wonderful. It is easily the best house in the area with friendly staff that made you feel like you were part of the family. I felt like I was visiting a relative’s home, and reminded me of Rio. It felt like an uncle let me stay at his beach house for the weekend. I loved it, and it gave a real “slice of life” perspective to my Dominican Republic vacation."

"Had such a great time at Gava! Valentina and Andrew were both so sweet, and they gave me such great tips for what to do and where to go. The hostel was very clean; you can tell they put a lot of effort into keeping the area tidy! The hostel itself is basically a room off of the main apartment with 4 beds in it, and all common spaces (kitchen, living room, bathrooms, etc.) are shared, which is great for connecting with new people. "This property was very clean and quiet. Google maps did not get the cab driver there and even though the operating hours say 11pm, we woke up a tenant to let us in. It is budget friendly and a 10 minute walk to beaches and restaurants."

"I booked the hotel from the airport at 9:50 pm. Then arrived 30 minutes later. The office was closed when I arrived at 10:20 pm leaving me stranded. The next day I tried to get a refund when they reopened but it seems to be a scam and no refund was provided. Policy says this: “The front desk is open daily from 10:00 AM - midnight.” This is a lie. Don’t book here!! "

"The little pool was ok- location was not in a nice area- garbage filled the gutters and empty lots - The police tried to extort money from me- My room had no toilet seat- no toilet paper - no shower head- no hot water- bugs- and the room was never cleaned in 7 days - bad first impression of the Dominican!"
