「My family has stayed at nearly every hotel on Jekyll. Our current go-to is Hampton Inn. While it doesn’t have the ocean views other hotels have, I love the tree lined boardwalk. The pool is the best part of the hotel, it is shaded and heated year round. My most recent trip to the Hampton Inn was frustrating and disappointing. The desk is usually helpful and outgoing. 「Don't expect an early check in even if you get an email offering it because the hotel doesn't uphold it even when it was approved. Drove 13 hours to have to wait almost 5 hours for my room, because upon arrival I was told "we don't do that amymore" well then, why was i offered and approved for an early check in then. Getting towels was like asking for gold. All and all not worth 1400 for 5 nights.」

Unfortunately, our a/c unit kept cycling on and off all night without stabilizing the room, which caused us to lose sleep. In fact, we did not get to sleep at all the first night and felt forced to vacate one day early. Since we had paid our two-day fee in advance, we have not been reimbursed for the second night even though the hotel staff notified us that they filed the 'faulty a/c complaint' as an acceptable...
