"We stayed here 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. Clean space, great host, and wonderful memories. Unfortunately this stay was disappointing. The air conditioning in one bedroom was broken for the duration of our stay. A ceiling fan was rusted and broken. The house attendant was very nice, but did not wash towels, even after we used them several times and left them visibly soiled in the hamper to be washed. "My stay at Ixic was sweet and comfortable. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and cared for. The room was spotless and air conditioned. The shower had great pressure and hot water. The amenities are simple so bring your own shampoos if you are needing something special. There are many stores and a market in the area. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the beach in the center of town. "
