"Excellent beach view. The bath and pool towels were very old.l had a terrible experience because a termite infestation suddenly appeared in my room and I had to be moved. The lock on the terrace window didn't work."

"We had a wonderful time at The Great Escape! The condo was well prepared for our stay. My husband and I were there with our son and his family. We had plenty of room and did not feel crowded. The kitchen was well supplied with anything one would need to prepare a meal.We all loved having the mini pool on the balcony, especially our two year old grandson! Water mattresses and beach toys were provided.The air conditioner worked perfectly, although, as much as possible, we enjoyed having the sliding glass doors open for the fresh air.The restaurant at BVG is great! We ate there every day. It's open for breakfast and lunch. We also enjoyed the great restaurants in Ixtapa. You can walk to many, or ride a combi (mini bus) for Mex9.This was the second time our family has stayed at The Great Escape, and we hope to return soon. "

"The unit looked exactly like the photos and had good air conditioning, and you do have a peak view of the ocean, which were the only positive aspects of our stay. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what was advertised. The listing promised Wi-Fi, but the connection was extremely poor and unreliable—we couldn’t even check emails or stream TV without constant interruptions. To make matters worse, there was no hot water during our stay. Showers were room temp, at best. We reported these issues to the reception staff twice but were met with blank stares. We messaged the host, who never bothered to respond, so these problems were unresolved. After arriving home, the host contacted us, wanting us to pay for an additional day claiming we stayed longer. This was based on incorrect information from the front desk, adding unnecessary stress. Heads up, bring your own drinking water and towels. The tap water is unsafe to drink and water is not provided. The room towels were few and threadbare. Overall, this property did not deliver on its advertised amenities, and the lack of responsiveness from both staff and host was very disappointing. "

"Cant rate this specific unit as when we arrived it was not available, rented to someone else. The original host ghosted our communication. Fortunately an excellent facility administrator was able to assist and contacted a different apartment manager. So we did have a place at this complex which was very nice. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of."
