"Did not bother to inform me in advance about advance payment, nor bothered to inform me in advance about cash payment.
I've already mentioned that I can't access their line contact for some reason, that was told 3 times to communicate via line. Obviously failed to listen
When I'm stuck outside, she even insist that I'll need to make payment before can enter... till I said I'll make the payment after putting my luggage. Totally a failed in handling simple operations and basic...

"Lovely hotel with excellent service. The hotel was empty when we stayed on a Monday and Tuesday nights. I imagine they have tour buses on the weekend."

"Our stay at Lifu Garden Inn was fantastic. The host is so kind and helpful. We arrived low on gas and they helped us fill up from a local nearby since the gas station there is not yet completed. The drive up to Lifu is incredible. What an amazing place to live. The restaurants are about 3 min up the road and are all delicious and the views are unbelievable with the fog rolling around on the mountains. Breakfast was great and the resident kitty, "mouse" was a sweetheart. We would absolutely stay...

"The theme of the room was very beautiful. Even though there were other people there, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful."

"For the kind of prices that they charged us for the room, we feel cheated because there were very minimal useful amenities, there was no phone in the room, and the tv was not even connnected to the internet. The free breakfast in the cafe downstairs was too oily and rich that we got indigestion on the second morning right after eating their set meal. They could have allowed us to choose a simpler breakfast, or better yet provide buffet, like most hotels. We will definitely never stay in a Sotetsu establishment after this."
"Staff was excellent and very kind. Hotel is very close to the MRT maybe a 5 minute walk. The only negative i can say about the hotel is the carpets are old and need replacing. Other than that its an excellent are and excellent stay "
"What we love:
- Hotel is near Taipei Main Station. There’s an underground mall (Exit Z8) leading to the main station in front of hotel entrance.
- Many eateries, cafes and shopping nearby.
- Mattress is hard which we love and we don’t have any backaches the next morning.
- Bathroom comes with Toto washlet and exhaust is good so no toilet odour.
- Provide free snack and drink stations to fill us up in between meals.
- Soundproof is good.
What we don’t like:
- No cleaning services during our 4D3N stay. We need to call hotel desk each time we need to change the towels and clear waste bins.
- There’s a blue light which we cannot switch off on the room mirror above open area basin. It was glaring and disturbed our sleep at night so we need to block it with card and tapes.
- Not much English TV and movies, Netflix etc in room TV.
- Door stop on floor became a tripping hazard whenever we access the cloth hanging area behind door. We need to put a chair over it to prevent unwanted accidents.
- No wardrobe to hang clothes. Only a few hooks and 4 clothe hangers. "
"Hotel Relax V was clean and very reasonably priced. The restrooms were spotless and, importantly, there was no foul sewage smell. They looked exactly like the photos advertised online. The running water was hot and the water pressure was excellent.
Despite the language barrier, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They offered helpful local suggestions and genuinely tried to meet everyone’s needs. Their English was good enough that we were able to communicate without any issues.
If I had to nitpick, it’s a smaller-style hotel. Personally, I didn’t mind at all—I actually liked the cozy, boutique vibe it gave off. They also had a nice purified water machine and an espresso machine available on the first floor, which was a great touch.
The Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable. If I really had to be picky, the rooms can be on the smaller side. However, I noticed the square footage when booking, so I intentionally reserved a larger room. The room we stayed in was more than big enough for my wife and me. Some friends in our group mentioned their rooms felt a bit tiny, but the very clean and modern restrooms helped make up for the smaller space.
All in all, it was a great stay at an even better price. I would definitely stay here again."
