Stravatha is a beautiful traditional stone house perched on a hillside, in 2 acres of private gardens, offering breathtaking, uninterrupted views of the Ionian Sea.
Facing due west, there are spectacular sunsets every evening (you won’t find a better spot) and with no other buildings in sight—just the faint twinkle of Kefalonia’s lights in the distance—the house offers a true sense of secluded beauty.
Stravatha comfortably sleeps six guests in three spacious bedrooms, each offering breathtaking sea views. The house has two bathrooms, both with waterfall showers.
With wifi and a Bluetooth music system, as well as plenty of books and games, the comfortable sitting room is a perfect space to relax. The kitchen/diner is fully fitted with a gas oven, four-ring hob, large fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, food processor, water filter and a coffee machine, along with a spacious dining table for indoor meals.
Separating the main living area and the bedrooms, the cool arch room has a sofa, plus a TV and DVD player. Beyond this is the back terrace, a relaxing spot with a table shaded by grapevines, surrounded by pots of bougainvillea, oleander, plumbago, lavender, and geraniums.
The highlight of Stravatha is our new 12-metre infinity pool, offering breathtaking views of the sea and the mesmerising sunsets. Comfortable bean bag loungers, shady umbrellas and a day bed by the pool invite lazy, sun-soaked afternoons.
With more sun than any other place in Greece and excellent sea breezes throughout the summer, Zakynthos is a wonderful place for a holiday.
Stravatha is situated near Volimes in the far north of Zakynthos. If you’re looking to get away from it all, we think this area and the wild west coast are the best parts of the island, with beautiful coves, traditional olive groves, pine forests, excellent tavernas and jaw-dropping scenery around every winding corner. Beaches and fantastic restaurants in Agios Nikolaos port are a mere 10 min drive away.
The quieter north of the island is a haven of natural beauty and tranquility. Far from the busier southern resorts, this area’s winding roads reveal a more rugged landscape with secluded coves and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
Charming villages like nearby Volimes and Orthonies offer a glimpse into traditional island life where the pace of life is slower and warm afternoons are whiled away in the shade of ancient olive trees or sitting with friends sipping thick dark coffee or ouzo.
