The food is excellent as well, although it’s worth noting that both the dinner and breakfast are very generous meals - best not to eat too much beforehand! "Amazing location for Shirakawa Go but away from the crowds up in the mountains the staff are great, food amazing, rooms basic but spotless. The onsen are great and the free guided walk was perfect. The shuttle bus to Shirakawa Go is brilliant, we were able to choose our drop off and pick up times."
