Fun hotel, great price, and great location. 10/10

Staff is friendly, wonderful, and speak English well. A really nice way to see neighborhood side of Japan. Not your typical hotel.

The room and facilities were clean and well maintained. I slept great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location, easy walk to Nippori station and fun shopping. I would definitely stay here again.

Great, cozy little place!

Unplan is genuinely one of the best places to stay if you want to meet and go out with other solo travelers! Bar in the basement is an easy way to meet people and then go out

Great spot

An amazing deal, with the big bed and a lot of the perks of a full-fledged capsule hotel for the price of a hostel. Everthing is as clean and well-kept as a hotel too--absolutely no hairs in the bedsheets or any of that nonsense. Hostel rules still apply though; towels are rental, for example, and the front desk will close at 11 PM or so. They even serve free toast and hard-boiled eggs + one drink for breakfast! Note that while close to the station, the paths are rather narrow, and it's a metro...

Excellent staff. They diligently worked with the airport to find/get me my lost luggage. Reasonably priced breakfast, drinks, very clean, and in a very safe neighborhood with great transportation options.Takeshi and team rocks!

The 3th time to stay here. Good location, good value, cozy space, nice river view.

We stayed in the annex as a family of 4. It was perfect for us. Simple and a great price. Great location. Exit C1 was the closest exit (stairs) and C6 (escalator) was the next closest. The grocery store “Life” had the best bentos and baked goods in the area. Also, cheaper fruit than in the department stores. It was 5 min away.

The aesthetic is gorgeous. Our room was very clean and there was a private lounge on the 6th floor for hostel guests to relax in with a fully equipped kitchen. The food and drinks from the cafe and bar were amazing.

I'm backpacking through Japan and this hostel is in the middle of the action. Great nightlife and friendly staff, make it a "no brainer"

I had a great stay at this property! While the room itself had more of a dorm-style setup—compact and simple—it was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short or extended stay. The space was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged to make the most out of the smaller layout. The property overall was quiet, well-maintained, and in a convenient location. Common areas were neat and easily accessible, and it felt like a safe and welcoming environment. The management was responsive and...

Our stay at Guest House Shinagawa was beyond our expectations. Truly this as the best place we ever stay. My brother lost his passport, one of the front desk clerks went with him to the police station and helped him with the paper work, also calling to the train station to see if someone returned it. This is just to name a few. So cozy and fun to stay. Highly highly recommend this place, and surely my place if l go back to Tokyo. 5 STARS!!!!! Thank you!!!!

Was wonderful

My son and I stayed at Book and Bed for 5 nights. The place is awesome! The staff speaks decent English and are always ready to help you any way they can. The hotel is small, only holds like 45 people in individual cubicles. It is super clean and fresh. Would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to save money and don't mind using a hostel. Great place! I will use it next time in Tokyo!

Such a cute hostel tucked on a side street. Only blocks away from the Anime district of Tokyo, with lots of little shops/restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Super close to the big train station, as well.
