During the winter months, you're just 25 minutes from Winterplace Ski Resort for skiing and snowboarding. For golf, horseback riding, and outdoor recreation, Pipestem Resort State Park is only 30 minutes away.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in Athens, WV! The property was peaceful, private, and the perfect blend of modern comfort and mountain charm. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway.The hosts were responsive, flexible, and welcoming, and we truly enjoyed our time here. This cabin is the perfect place to unwind, reconnect with nature, and explore all that Southern West Virginia has to offer. We would definitely stay again!

The hosts were very welcoming, and accommodating. Great communication, great setup that allows you to check in without issues whenever you are ready. They have a folder with all the necessary information about the house itself and the area. The cabin is beautiful! Linnens and towels are cotton, furnishings are of beauty and quality. The kitchen is stocked with all utensils and appliances you can think of. Everything looks new and everything is clean. Our kids loved it, and so did we.One thing to consider : in winter (and possibly spring, depending on how muddy it is) you MUST have a 4wd; otherwise, you're likely getting stuck there.Great hosts and a great place to stay, thank you for a wonderful vacation!
