駅からキャリーバッグを引きながら15分程度、マリオボロ通りから2分程度入りますが、何かと便利なロケーション。 アメニティは石鹸、歯ブラシ、タオルのみですが部屋は清潔に保たれています。 なお2階建てなので、エレベーターかないのは仕方ないです。 朝食は種類が少なく、ほぼ毎日同じもので美味しいとは言えません。 しかし、帰りのエアポートトレインのオンラインチケット予約が上手くいかず、フロントの女性にお願いし、結局上手くいかなかったのですが、友達にも電話してくれたり、もう大丈夫ですと言ったあとも、部屋までもう一度やって見ましょうと訪れてくれたり、本当に一生懸命に対応してくれたのには感謝しきれないくらいありがたかったです。

立地は良いが…

サンライズを見に行くためレンタルしました。当日の朝部屋に来てくれると言っていたのですが、待っていても来てくれません。外に出てホテルの人を探しましたが誰もいません。探すのに時間が掛かりました。 シャワーはお水に近い温度です。 料金と見合っているホテルかなと思います。 でも立地は良かったです。

マリオボロ通りから奥に入ったところにあり、少し分かりづらかったですが、マリオボロ通りにホテルの看板が出ているので、一度場所を把握すると次からは簡単に場所が分かります。 近くに、モスクがあるらしく、アザーンと呼ばれる礼拝を呼びかける放送が毎日数回流れるのですが、早朝にも流れて、初めはびっくりしました。 マリオボロモールも近くて、買い物には困りませんし、食べる場所も近くに多かった印象です。

The location is excellent. But the hotel is not really up to Canadian standards. Poor water pressure and no hot water, not very clean. Stay if you aren’t picky and just need a place to sleep for a night. The staff was friendly. They provided toothbrushes, slippers, and water.

This motel is located near Malioboro St., this is the only advantage of the hotel. The following situations while I stayed in this motel were a nightmare: - Bed cover contains stains/spots/botch. Once I checked in, I immediately reguested to replace it. They staff said, eventhough they changed, the other bed cover will also have stains. They cannot clean it from the bedcover when they wash. - Bathroom was so dirty, yellowish on the wall and floor, and smell very bad. They only put camphor ball to penetrate the smell, they did not clean it regularly. Toilet was also not clean. -Mosquitos in the room! I ended bought mosquito repellent and mosquito spray from convenience store nearby. -Room does not have any amenities (coffee maker, etc). I supplied myself to make hot water. I was very disappointed of this motel. WIll not come back. I got tricked because the location is closed to Malioboro Street however everything else is worst! I just want to say to the prospective customers, please stay away from this motel.

Dissapointed!

Looks like the reception staf didn't get information about customer's request or just ignlre it? They was offering the ground floor close to entrance while we asked for other than ground floor/too close to entrance/public area with the excuse that they have no more room (as we booked more than 4 months before) till the wnd, the girl confirmed for the room in the 2nd floor if we can wait about 3 hours (after check out time) and when we comeback the other person again offering the ground floor with the same excuse.. Until we're get tense and hard complain, they give the room in the 2nd floor as we requested since beginning.. Looks so ridiculous for the type of hotel which is quite pricey compare to their facilities and unprofessional staf. we can hear all the voices from other guests in the other rooms also kinda poor cleanliness. Sorry to say, not recommended (unless you are kind if guests which not bothered with services and the prices you paid for)

Staff indifferent to downright rude, bathroom is just a wet room only hot water, well tepid at best, was the shower. Garden Hotel, must have been an estate agent who came up with that discription. Whoever gave it a * rating must have had a severe knock on the head to see any !!

Small room, small hotel in dingey alley

The hotel was in a reasonable location, close to Malioboro but overall I would say I wish I had stayed somewhere else during my stay at Yogyakarta. Firstly the hotel was located in a small dingy alley, but I was hoping on entering the hotel it would be a gem in the rough. Unfortunately even inside the hotel, it was kind of not very clean surroundings (it wasn't particularly dirty just run down). Thankfully one of the staff helped me with the suitcase to bring above. The room itself was very small too, as was the bathroom. There was no seperation between toilet and shower. One of the positives was I was able to get a scooter for the day from front desk itself (who did take my passport). There aren't many tourism facilities nearby to book travels/ rent like Bali, so this is the best bet. I guess for the price, I shouldn't be expecting much better but I paid here more than resorts in Bali in amazing locations. On the whole, I would even inch towards recommending to skip the city of Yogyakarta altogether as Borobudur is closed to go up.

Comfortable, central and cheap accommodation

It's just a shout away to the infamous Malioboro street from the hotel. If you like happenings, experience local jogja javanese culture food and people this is the place to stay. There are street musicians and even live band performancea every night especially at the railway junction cafe.

Disappointing

There was no satellite/ cable tv they don’t refresh bath towels and mould was on the bedroom, bathroom ceilings and surrounding the hand basin. No refrigerator or tea and coffee in the rooms the pillow slips and bedding were torn and stained. Location was great staff were polite but that’s it. Will not be returning.

Good place in an unbeatable location

This is a budget hotel of course, but it is very well run: breakfast was good, so was the shower and aircon and the front desk staff were helpful with any requests we had, e.g. re: transport, which they procured at very reasonable prices. The best thing of all is perhaps the location, on a pedestrain alley, so very quiet at night (until the cockerel starts in the morning...), but only metres away from the main street in town with all the shops, eateries, the main mall etc... We had a very good stay.
