「Staff very rude」

「Thoroughly recommend. Lovely rural part of Devon, the hotel is set in its own well maintained grounds, which is excellent for dog walking, our room was clean and comfortable, as was the breakfast and dining area which were both well set out, with plenty of space to accommodate dogs. Food was great, varied and plentiful. All staff were polite, efficient, and attentive, which helped to create a pleasant and chilled atmosphere.」

「Our room was well maintained and we like staying in unique, historic properties. A bath in the nook in front of the window seemed a little strange. We thought a sofa with a coffee table would be a more relaxing option after a day of sightseeing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The state of the beer garden is a shame. It looked really run down albeit unique with a throne at one of the tables. If you struggle with mobility, the car park is between 5 - 10 mins walk away. Not a...

「This was our third visit to the Fisherman's Cot and the first time for an overnight stay. There is a good selection of food at reasonable prices and very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and polite. We stayed in an annex which was OK but the outside fabric of the building is in need of renovation. Room was fine and clean, although bath panel was heavily water damaged. There is scope to improve decor (pictures on the wall for example) to give a more homely feel」

「This is an Honest Review of our stay October 2026. Upon arrival we found the main door was locked. There was a hand written note on the door saying the pub/restaurant was shut due to an electrical fault. Fair enough this is beyond the control of the hotel. A member of staff did let us in and told us our room was ready and not affected by the electrical fault. They showed us to our room and that was that. The Room was ok. The room was nothing special, it was clean and tidy with some general wear...

「I had a lovely stay and nothing was too much bother for Sue. Lots of choice for breakfast. I would happily stay here again. Even had a scarecrow trail whilst I was there with an amazing entry at the guesthouse.」

「Staff were very kind and considerate during the stay. Unfortunately, the rooms leaked a lot of sound. We are aware we’d likely hear the road during our stay due to proximity, but we hadn’t considered we might hear every move and sound from the surrounding rooms. Due to the design of the building, the five rooms attached to ours could be heard. This was e」

「フロントのスタッフも親切でとても快適に過ごせました。夜にダイニングで食べたピザやパスタも美味しかったです！」

「インターネットの速度が遅く苦労しました。それ以外はおしゃれなホテルでした。」

「Pleasantly surprised staff were friendly and helpful the restaurant was good with bar games to entertain the kids we stayed for one night whilst visiting family the rooms were clean and comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep thank you」

「I booked through Expedia which meant the hotel didn't get the information to turn the room into a twin. So we had to put up with that for a night. We weren't massively impressed by that, nor by being tossed 2 free drinks card - undoubtedly to make us feel better about the unresolvable situation - which we didn't use because I find this people management system quite insulting. However, it was rectified in the morning by housekeeping. Housekeeping kept the tea and coffee well stocked and there...
