"I was traveling from Colorado all the way to Chicago in one day - arriving early in the day around 9am. I was hoping to get an early check-in since I was exhausted. I made a call to reception who said that they didn't think there was any room for an early check-in, but that they would call me back if one came open, noting there would be an extra charge (that was fine with me). Since I was exhausted from a 1,000-mile drive straight through the night, I waited out in my car in their parking lot and tried to sleep a little bit. Between 9:30 and 3:00 pm, I sat in my car with no callback despite the parking lot being almost entirely empty. I had a hard time believing there was no available room for me to check in early, which was a real negative for me. Other than that, once I did finally check in. I just went straight to bed because I had been awake for over 24 hours. I didn't take in any of the amenities and just showered and went straight to bed. I slept great, though I probably would have slept well horizontally anywhere. Room was clean, bed was comfy. Breakfast came with hot eggs, sausage, and other continental-type things. No complaints, I was grateful for a warm meal."
