When we got in there was no one at the front desk and we had to wait a while but the check in process was smooth. The room was clean but there’s only one washer and dryer on the compound and the dryer wasn’t working during our stay. Towels were only refreshed every other day so we ended up having to wash in between. There was washing liquid available but the sponge was clearly used. Not sure if the expectation is that you purchase your own. Just to note the bathroom is a wet room and water gets everywhere. Overall staff was friendly, location was convenient and the room was clean and comfortable. Wasn’t a bad stay. Will consider again for another stay.

The good : Pretty place , nice pool with bar , affordable, free parking on site , gated private site . The bad : Situated in a very unattractive area . Not walkable to anything . No full time reception on site for needs that may require immediate attention . Linen were limited and had stains, no bleach or detergent was used on them . Room was poorly maintained and poorly cleaned , hairs found in drawers , damaged tables. Shower overflows and wets entire bathroom floor. Rooms so close together that you can hear everything including conversations right next door. Food is limited and cooked on a grill by the bartender near the pool . If you’re on a tight budget and don’t mind things like this it’s doable . We left and checked into a hotel 5 minutes away which was 10 times better with excellent amenities and service . Do your research . Don’t buy into the excuse of a water shortage on the island to justify poor service .

The property photographs well with its bright colored buildings and “instagrammable” moments such as cute murals and a floral wall. The rooms are clean and basic with new bathrooms and a microwave and small fridge. The pool is large but would benefit from handrails as the access is underwater stairs. The tile in the pool area is slippery. The location is in the middle of a neighborhood so there is nothing to walk to. This is fine if you have a car but leaves you feeling stranded if you must take a $20+ taxi ride everywhere. The staff more than makes up for the property’s deficiencies. They are super friendly and learn your name. They were helpful in connecting us with a wonderful cab driver. They make the Merakaii.

The resort is very cute. The property and rooms are clean. The beds were comfy. The staff was very accommodating, helpful and generous with their time. The manager even drove us into town and picked us up because taxi costs were adding up. The resort was quiet, despite being fully booked.

Absolutely loved our stay for 16 days. The staff were great and friendly, they didn’t hesitate to offer insights about best beaches and things to do. We loved the room with kitchenette that has everything you need. Tons of parking and clean rooms. Thanks Merakii we will be back next year!

My family and I had a really nice stay at Merakii. The staff greeted us warmly when we arrived and showed us around the property, explaining how things worked. The wristbands were really useful for entering the hotel and our rooms. The pool is beautiful and the bartender was so friendly. It was a great deal for the money; highly recommend

Les chambres sont bien, ́emplacement est bien situé à quelques minutes de Willemstad. Par contre, nous navons pas eu de service pendant notre séjour. Pas de nettoyage, nous avions demandé deux chaises supplémentaires puisque que nous etions 4, nous ne les avons pas eu, nous avons demandé des serviettes porpores, nous ne les avons pas eu,pour un sejour de 7 jours.

This was an awesome little hotel! Beautiful and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice location if staying in the Willemstad area and a great view. Pool area and rooms were great. Everything you need for an extended stay in the rooms. We loved it and would definitely come back

We decided to spend a few days in Curacao almost as an afterthought. We're very glad we did! Similarly, it was just luck of the draw that found us staying at Merakii Seaview Escape. We're really, really glad that we did! Without a doubt it was the people that made our stay there wonderful. The staff (and resident owners) made us feel like family and couldn't do enough for us. For example, we showed up very early (and tired) and we were looking for someplace to have breakfast. The manager, Adrienne, personally drove us in her own vehicle to a place she recommended. Similarly, she made all of the arrangements for our anniversary evening out (calling her friends to get the latest reviews of different restaurants) and even had a bottle of chilled wine and fruit waiting for us in our room when we returned. She also made the arrangements for our vehicle rental which went seamlessly. This same "can do" attitude extended to the staff. Our favorite (and very creative) poolside bartender bumped into us when we were shopping at a local market and even though it was his day off, he jumped right into helping us decide what we might want to pick up, and might want to avoid (because it was not as fresh as he thought it should be). Even hanging out around the pool with the owners and their family - and a very cute granddaughter - felt like a wonderfully catered family gathering. We're looking forward to booking our next vacation there and building our passion for scuba diving into our stay.
